Role

UI/UX Designer at AgentFlux Inc.  |  2014 - 2015

Overview

AgentFlux was an all-in-one CRM solution for Realtors to connect and manage their clients (see AgentFlux). Unfortunately, the connectivity features were largely unused and very few homeowners were brought onto the platform. With a good amount of home listing data but lacking homeowners, we couldn’t successfully reach the company goal of connecting Realtors with homeowners.

Enter HomeKnocker, the Tinder for your next home. Taking advantage of the home listing and Realtor data amassed with AgentFlux, we pivoted to a home discovery app. With HomeKnocker, users can browse home and condo listings based on price range and location. Once a user has liked a home, they are then directly connected with an agent.

Outcome

Information hierarchy was directly applied from lessons learned while building AgentFlux. Details such as rent or sale, property type and select amenities were also given a visual enhancement to improve readability for homeowners. Features such as messaging were also borrowed from AgentFlux. Interviews with Realtors provided insights into additional information homeowners were looking for, such as nearby schools.

User flow and interface were designed in about a 3 week period leading up to a layoff due to lack of funding. HomeKnocker was relatively successful compared to AgentFlux’s client-side app, garnering 9,743 downloads and 48 home sales (source).
